CUSTOM PROJECT / TEMPORARY EVENT POWER
WHILE IN USE TEMPORARY POWER
One purpose-built pedestal that opens completely for public events, then closes and locks while keeping longer-duration connections safely powered.
01 / PROJECT OVERVIEW
ONE SPACE
TWO
COMPLETELY
DIFFERENT
POWER NEEDS.
An event-spce owner needed temporary power that could remain open and easy to reach during busy public events, then become secure and key-controlled during private bookins, maintenance and scheduled repairs.
2 modes
ONE PEDESTAL

PRIVATE ACCESS
02 / THE CHALLENGE
OPEN WHEN
NEEDED.
SECURE
WHEN IT
MATTERS.
Temporary power is easy when conditions never change. This site needed safe public access, weather protection, extended connections and complete circuit control from the same enclosure.
Two use cases
Large events and longer private connections required very different access.
Long-duration security
Cords had to remain connected while the enclosure stayed closed and locked.
Open-door weather exposure
Large events and longer private connections required very different access.
Control over what is live
Staff needed circuit-level control and a fast-full system shutdown.
03 / THE SOLUTION
THE DESIGN CHANGES
WITH THE DAY.
The same enclosure transitions between open public-event access and secure while-in-use operation without changing the permanent electrical system.
A PEDESTAL BUILT AROUND REAL USE.
Rather than forcing one access method onto every situation, PSI separated receptacle access from circuit control and protected each connection independently.
Designed for flexibility
without giving up control.
- Receptacle protection
- Weatherproof while-in-use covers
- Event access
- Removable upper and lower doors
- Extended use
- Lockable cord-exit mouse door
- Service equipment
- Separate rear load centre
- Circuit control
- Individual energizing or full shutdown
- Configuration
- Receptacle mix built to suit
- Ground fault protection
- GFCI breaker options
CONTROL STAYS SEPARATE
The connections can be public. The load centre never has to be.
The service equipment sits on the back side behind its own lockable cover, keeping circuit control reserved for authorized staff.
Staff can energize only the receptacles needed for that event—or de-energize the entire system quickly.
04 / THE RESULT
TEMPORARY
POWER
WITHOUT
TEMPORARY
THINKING.
The finished design gives the owner one permanent controlled power point that adapts to busy public events, private bookings and onging maintenance.
01
Event ready
Removable doors provide open access to many temporary connections.
02
Protected in any weather
Every receptacle remains individually protected while connected.
03
Secure extended use
Cords stay connected while the main doors remain closed and locked.
04
Access that matches the event
Open during public use and key-controlled at all other times.
05
Circuit-level control
Authorized staff decide exactly which receptacles are energized.
06
Built to the application
The receptacle mix can be configured around the site’s actual loads.
