A large industrial faciliy needed to power and control multiple groups of three-phase lighting across a sprawling parking lot. Instead of starting every run inside the building, the design team placed one custom PSI pedestal at the lot’s most electrically adventageous location.

Parking, perimeter security and pedestrian lighting do not all operate on the same schedule. The facility needed reliable zone control without long interior-fed cable runs, exposed photo eyes or routine access to a secured building.
Contractors needed an exterior disconnect without entering the building.

PSI combined the main disconnect, circuit distribution and programmable lighting control inside one secure, weather-resistant enclosure.

STRATEGIC PLACEMENT
Shorter runs start with a smarter location.
Positioning the pedestal centrally to the fixture groups reduced home-run distances, voltage drop, copper quantities and installation labour.
The exterior line-of-sight disconnect also lets a licensed contractor safely isolate power without coordinating building access.
